How to recycle your tights

DUST

The tights have electrostatic properties, ideal for attracting dust. You can use an old pair of Franzoni tight as a simple cloth to shine every surface, or rolled on a broom to remove dust and cobwebs from the wall.

 

SHINING THE SINK STEEL

Old microfibre tights are perfect. Fold them and use them as a sponge, rubs the surface of the sink with baking soda and a few drops of lemon… it will become a mirror…

 

DRAUGHT REDUCTER

It is the perfect idea to reuse the opaque tights. Cut one leg without holes, fill it evenly with  worn-out tights and make a knot in the end, you will get a sausage perfect  to use as draught reducter. Using  fashion tights you will get a stunning draught reducter.

 

SCENTED DRAWERS

Take an old tight and cut the leg in four pieces. Fill them with dried flowers and herbs such as lavender and chamomile, knot the ends and put them into drawers.Your linen will always be fragrant.

 

CREATIVE LAUNDRY

Do you have to hang  a delicate garment? To prevent the signs of the clips on it, hang the tights passing it through the garment. Then put the clips on the tights. If the dress in question has sleeves, introduce the tight into them and use it as a rope. A little strategy to say goodbye to the signs of the clips.

 

FOOTBATH… WITH SCRUB

Cut the legs of a tight, fill it with baking soda and oat meal, add a few drops of essential oil. Close it  with a small knot or a clip and add it in the water of the footbath. Thanks to the heat, the baking soda will dissolve in the water. Slide the  braid under the sole of the foot for a relaxing  massage.

 

ELASTIC FOR  HAIR

 Old tights can be used as elastic for your hair. It is very simple, cut the tight parallel to the toe.

 

ELASTIC FOR THE GARDEN

As for  hair  you can also use the elastic  to tie the plants … and if the elastic is too short, just use the whole tights.

 

LOST OBJECTS

The old tights and socks can help us to find  small items lost such as earrings and other trinkets. Just enclose the mouthpiece of your vacuum cleaner with an old pair of tights, once you start to use it,  the dust will pass through the fabric of the tights, while the lost items will be blocked from the tight. Clean your  house and find your valuable lost objects.

 

SHINY SHOES

Tights are perfect for polishing shoes and boots. Just polish them normally with the products that are generally used and turn the tight into a ball and simply rub the shoe for the final touch …Thanks to its composition the tights will make shine the shoes avoiding the annoying powder left from the old cotton rags.

 

PADDING
Old tights and socks are perfect for padding  objects. Just cut them into strips so that the padding may be more homogeneous and easily distributed. You canfill pillows, stuffed animals and  hand made dolls.

 

AQUARIUM

A good way to use an old tight is to use it as a filter of the active carbon inside the aquarium. The savings will be significant.

 

AND FINALLY ... TIGHTS FOR STORING ONIONS.

The old fishnet tights are perfect bags for hanging onions in the cellar! Just cut the leg on the thigh, put the first onions and tie with a part of the tight or with an elastic, then put another onion and so on. A solution of unusual recycling but really brilliant!
